Is there a way to get Iphone apps on an Ipod Touch without jail breaking it?

Well the apple website has some pretty cool programs where you can get cool applications to use on your Ipod Touch.
I found a really useful app on page 18 called Google Maps for Ipod Touch, since the Ipod Touch didn’t come with a map application like the Iphone, you can add that app and use it for directions and stuff i think its pretty cool so check out the apple website.
